SIOUX FALLS — Flandreau golfer Madison Bushkofsky finished in ninth place as the SDHSAA Class A State Girls Golf Tournament concluded at Bakker’s Crossing Golf Course on Tuesday morning.
Bushkofsky followed up her first-round score of 80 by shooting an 82 on Tuesday. Her two day score of 162 tied with Chloe Attema of Sioux Falls Christian.
Sioux Valley’s Caitlyn Cradduck also competed at the tournament shooting a 91 on Tuesday. After shooting an 88 on Monday, Cradduck finished in 34th place with a total score of 179.
Sioux Falls Christian won the state team title finishing the tournament with a score of 634. Vermillion finished in second place with a score of 668, West Central finished third with a score of 696, Madison finished fourth with a score of 698 and St. Thomas More finished fifth with a score of 731.
Kaitlin Strain of St. Thomas more won the individual state championship, shooting a 77 on Monday and a 75 on Tuesday for a total score of 152. Tori Peterson of Sioux Falls Christian and West Central’s Ari Jacobs finished in second place with a score of 154 while Cecelia VanDenTop finished fourth with a total score of 158. Ashlee Sweeter of Lennox and Vermillion’s Ronnie Wilharm finished tied for fifth with a total score of 159.
