Hawks battle at the net with Cardinals and Bulldogs

COLMAN — Colman-Egan volleyball hosted two schools last week and came away with two wins.

Hawks 3, Arlington 2
The Hawks came away with the five-set victory after winning the final two sets.
Colman-Egan led 1-0 after a 25-21 win in set one. Arlington then won back-to-back sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-20. Colman-Egan then avoided a loss with a 25-17 win in the fourth set and then took the match with a 15-11 victory in set five.
The Hawks were led by Brynlee Landis who had 10 kills and 13 digs. Finley Luze had eight kills, 13 assists and three aces. Anna Zwart had nine kills and Elaina Rhode had seven kills. Kaylee Voelker had 23 assists and 12 digs. Presley Luze had 25 digs.

Halley Miller had 11 kills and six blocks for the Cardinals. Rachel Steffensen had 12 kills and Jaelyn Huntimer had 20 digs. Sony Johnson had 33 assists.

Hawks 3, De Smet
hursday, the Hawks hosted DeSmet and came out victories in four sets. They dropped the first set, 14-25, but responded with a 29-29 win in set two and a 25-14 victory in set three.
The Hawks won the match with a 25-20 win in set four.
Brynlee Landis had a big night for Colman-Egan with 16 kills, 16 digs and two serving aces. Kaylee Voelker record 16 assists and seven digs. Presley Luze had 15 digs and four assists

Finley Luze put up 18 assists and had two aces. Elaina Rhode had 11 kills and four aes and Anna Zwart had five kills.
Hazel Luethmers led the Bullodgs with 21 kills and 16 digs and her teammate Megan Doyle put up 28 assists and made 16 digs.
The Hawks are now 2-1 were to play at Estelline/Hendricks on Tuesday and then will host Elkton-Lake Benton on Thursday and Madison on Monday, September 16.
