BROOKINGS – Colman-Egan’s Taylor Kriech tied for second in the Class B Boys State Golf Tournament held June 3-4 at the Brookings Country Club.
The junior from Colman-Egan Kriech finished the tournament at eight-over (+8) after shooting a 76 in the second round. He shot a 76 in the first round as well. Kriech had one birdie on Tuesday and for the tournament he finished with five birdies and 20 pars.
Sully Buttes’ Gavin Colson finished in first place after shooting six-over par. Ipswich’s Chet Peterson tied with Kriech.
Wessington Springs won the team championship as the Spartans shot a total of 478.
