Jane M. Frost, age 80, of Pipestone, MN, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Communities there.
Jane Marie was born to Howard Neil and Ildra Marie (Bergman) Taylor on April 3, 1938 in Flandreau, SD where she was raised and received her education. She was baptized on October 4, 1942 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Flandreau where she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 18, 1952. After her graduation from Flandreau High School in 1956, she lived in Sioux Falls, SD and worked as a bookkeeper at Old Home Bakery. On May 4, 1957, she was united in marriage to Roger Frost at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Flandreau. Following their marriage, they lived in Pipestone, MN, and Jane became employed as a teller at the Pipestone National Bank. When her first child was born, she decided to stay at home and raise her children. Once they were grown, she worked at the Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in Pipestone until her retirement. In October, 2015, she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Communities of Pipestone.
Jane was an active member of Christ the King Free Lutheran Church in Pipestone where she was also a member of the church circle. She enjoyed playing cards and working in her flower garden. She loved to go dancing with her husband, and she enjoyed having coffee with her neighbors and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband: Roger Frost of Pipestone; three children: Sheryl (Steven) Moffitt of Pipestone, Daryl (Teresa) Frost of Delano, MN and Wendy Woelber (fiancé, Tim Rustad) of Pipestone; 11 grandchildren: Rachel Kuiper, Daniel Moffitt, Meghan Moffitt, Amanda Hagenmaier, Hannah Frost, Sarah Rotenberger, Nathan Frost, Tiffany Woelber, Tarryn Woelber, Trey Boelman, and Traeten Rustad; 11 great grandchildren: Breylon, Kade, Jayse, Rayah, Henry, Braden, Rylee, Reid, Dylan, Louis and Milo; and two brothers: twin Wayne (Bev) Taylor of Flandreau and Robert (Colleen) Taylor of Brandon.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Debbie; her infant son, Danny; her parents; and her brother, Larry Taylor.
Service was held Monday, October 8 at Christ the King Free Lutheran Church in Pipestone with burial in New Woodlawn Cemetery, Pipestone.
