Dr. Edward Lawrence Ehrichs (Larry) 81, of Castle Rock Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 2nd 2024.
Larry was born in Flandreau South Dakota on December 26th, 1942 to Myrtle and Eddie Ehrichs.
He graduated with a B.S. in medicine from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He went on to get his M.D. from the University of Colorado Medical School, then interned at Denver General Hospital.
Larry served as an anesthesiologist in Vietnam for the US Army, where he received numerous medals, including a Bronze Star, for his service. He returned to Denver after the war to complete a surgery residency. Following his residency, he worked as a general surgeon in the Denver area for over 40 years, where he became a beloved member of the medical community.
Larry enjoyed many hobbies, with golf and poker as his favorites.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Linda. He is survived by his three children, Edward (Beth), Liz (Joe), and John (Trista), as well as four grandchildren, Jack, Genevieve, Owen, and Lilly.
Services for Larry will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado on Saturday April 13th at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of Larry’s favorite charities-Shriners Hospital for Children
