Shirley M. Todd
Shirley M. Todd, age 61, of Madison, died Sunday, February 18, 2018, at her residence in Madison.
Shirley Kramer was born October 12, 1956, at Dell Rapids, SD, to Louis and Violet (Bach) Kramer. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1974. She and her former spouse Keith Johnson, were married on August 24, 1974. She worked at Bethel Lutheran Home and then operated a daycare in her home in Chester for many years. Shirley attended Dakota State University where she received a B.S. in Elementary Education. She was a student teacher and provided substitute teaching for area school districts before returning to work at Bethel as a dietary aide. Shirley was united in marriage to Marvin Todd on June 29, 1996.
Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her father, Louis Kramer of Lennox; two daughters, Angie (Pat) Larson of Mitchell and Amy (Terry) Page of Sioux Falls; one brother, Greg (Marianne) Kramer of Flandreau; two sisters, Anna (Larry) Meade of Papillion, NE, and LaVonne (Myron) Linneman of Sioux Falls; two step-children, Krista (Jeremiah) Johnson of Abilene, KS and Ivan (Lisa) Todd of Baltic; five grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Avery, Tyler, and Thomas; 10 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother; her husband Marvin; and one step grandson Issac Johnson.
Her funeral service was held Friday, February 23, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial in Colman Cemetery, Colman, SD.
