Hawks keep steady at the net

COLMAN – Howard netters gave the Hawks a brief scare in the first set, but the Hawks pulled out the win 26-24 and then easily stopped the Tigers, 25-9, 25-10 to win on Tuesday, October 1.
Brynlee Landis led with 14 kills and 11 digs for the Hawks while Kaylee Voelker set her up with 19 set assists. Voelker also had six kills and Anna Zwart put down five.
Micheon Williamson was in on five blocks and Elaina Rhode had five digs.
Howard was led by Kayleigh Schwader with 11 sets and Tana Hoyer with five kills, Reese Rudebusch with three aces.

COLMAN – The Hawks came back from a 2-1 deficit to get the win on Thursday over the Castlewood Warriors, 3-2.
Castlewood won set one 25-21 and Colman-Egan answered with a 25-20 win in set two. The Warriors then won set three 25-22 but the Hawks were able to pull out a 27-25 victory in set four to force a winner take all set. In the final set C-E took control, winning 15-6.
Brynlee Landis had a massive night for the Hawks with 28 kills, 28 digs and two blocks. Kaylee Voelker had 31 assists and seven kills. Finley Luze had 21 assists and 10 kills. Presley Luze had 14 digs.
Emerson Carter had 25 kills and five service aces and Nora Solberg had four aces and 20 digs for the Warriors.
Colman-Egan is now 13-3 overall (6-0 in the Dakota Valley Conference) and played at No 1 rated Chester Area on Monday. They’ll return to the court on Tuesday, October 15 hosting Bridgewater-Emery.
