Flandreau Fridays, the popular event showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Flandreau, returns on June 21, for its fourth year. Established in 2021, the event highlights the diversity of this small rural South Dakota town, home to large Filipino, Hispanic, and Native American populations along with countless other strong family heritages.

Flandreau School Board met in regular session on Monday, June 9 and looked at the preliminary 2024-25 budget and said farewell to its current business manager. Two members were absent from the meeting, Tom Stenger and Adam Wiese. In Stenger’s absence, Vice-President Kari Burggraff presided.
