Eleven South Dakotans face federal charges of attempted enticement of a minor using the internet after an online sting that ran March 7th through March 12.
Flandreau native, U.S. Attorney Ramsdell, led the investigation, as part of Project Safe Childhood. The nationwide initiative is designed to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The operation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) St. Paul, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Sioux Falls Police Department, the Watertown Police Department, the Tea Police Department, the Rapid City Police Department, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
The following individuals from Sioux Falls were arrested and federally charged:
●Kyle Dean Bult, age 38.
●Kalvin Michael Frankus, age 37.
●Hunter Hill, age 22.
●Stacy Shannon Hoover, age 56.
