Travis D. Pinnick, 21, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Brookings, SD. Travis was born on February 17, 1997 in Cheyenne, WY, son of Jerry Pinnick and Jackie McDaniel. The family made their home in Flandreau, SD, where Travis received his education, graduating in 2015. He was an avid runner in high school and qualified for state meets. While in high school, Travis worked at Maynard’s Food Center. He attended the University of Minnesota, Morris and SDSU. Travis was currently working at Dollar General and he loved his job. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hanging out with friends, playing video games and was a collector of Nike Air Jordan’s. Travis had a big heart and was a proud uncle of his nieces.
Travis is survived by his mother Jackie (Robert) McDaniel, Flandreau; father Jerry (Sue) Pinnick, Aberdeen, SD; brother Ryan (Megan) Benson, Apple Valley, MN; two sisters, Heather RedEarth, and Brianna (Robb Armstrong) Walberg, both of Flandreau; nieces, Emma, Alli, Zoie, Ayda and Paige and many other relatives and friends. Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. www.skrochfc.com
