Robert C. Clark, 79, of Madison, SD, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls.
Robert “Bob” Clinton Clark was born June 4, 1939 to Clifford and Vivian (Calhoun) Clark in the hotel in Jasper, MN. He attended a variety of country schools and graduated from Brookings High School in 1959. Bob met the love of his life, Donna Severeid, and they were married September 18, 1961 at Salem Methodist Church, Pipestone, MN. Bob farmed and in 1969 he started driving truck which he did for almost 50 years. There weren’t too many people Bob didn’t like. He enjoyed visiting and could talk enough for more than ten people. His grandkids all called him Grapey Grape. Bob loved his soft serve ice cream and one of his great-grandkids was his Dairy Queen companion.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna; six children, Jeanne Wasson; Jolene (David) Peters; Paul (Darla) Clark; Jennifer (Theron) Pina-Thompson; Mike (Pam) Clark; Jerrilyn Clark; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; one sister, Betty (Jon) Stanwick and his stepmother, Mary Clark. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Salem Methodist Cemetery, Pipestone, MN. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. www.skrochfc.com
