Norma J. Lynn, 62, of Elkton, SD passed away January 11, 2022 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD surrounded by her family.
Norma was born December 3, 1959 in Pipestone, MN to John and Helen (McClemans) Henningsen. She attended school in Elkton graduating from Elkton High School in 1978. Norma was married to Gary Lynn on September 20, 1986 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Elkton. She worked at nursing care centers, and in food service including the Knotty Pine Supper Club, Elkton, and she formerly owned the Elkton Cafe. Norma has most recently been a paraprofessional at Rolland Colony near Elkton. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, church guild, an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, cooking and pets.
Norma is survived by her husband, Gary and their children: Erin, Elkton; Eric (Danica), Rock Valley, IA; Mary, Elkton; stepson, Ryan, Mankato, MN; father, John Henningsen, Elkton; sisters: Nancy (Eric) Spiering, Elkton; Linda, Elkton; brother, Allen (Anne), International Falls, MN and nephews, niece and a great-niece. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen and a great-nephew Asher.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Elkton, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elkton.
