Jean Halter, 78, of Flandreau passed away Wednesday January 13, 2021 at her home under hospice care.
Jean was born August 17, 1942 at Flandreau to Ernest and Ethel (Cameron) Halter. She received her education at Colman graduating in 1960. Jean attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls to be an administrative assistant. She worked as a legal secretary in Pierre, SD, Denver, CO and in Sioux Falls, SD. After her retirement, she moved to Flandreau where she continued to make her home.
Jean is survived by her sister, Corrine Wold, Las Vegas, NV, two brothers, John, Chandler, AZ and George, Flandreau and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jean was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, altar society and volunteered at the Moody County Museum
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Flandreau with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2021 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. www.skrochfc.com
