The Colman-Egan Hawks girls’ track team won at a shortened meet at Gayville-Volin and also took the Freeman meet and Tom Main Meet in Chester, while the Hawks’ boys finished second, 10th and in a tie for fourth, respectively.
At Gayville-Volin, Mackenize Hemmer was triple winner taking the 110 meter hurdles, the triple and long jumps while Daniela Lee won the 100 meter dash.
For the boys, Hayden Pearson won the long jump, Jase Mousel took the triple jump and Kelby Voelker the shot put.
The event ended early due to the extreme cold temperatures and wind.
In Freeman, Reese Luze won the 800 meter run and Hemmer won the triple jump, while on Saturday Hemmer won the 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, and long jump, and Lee took home first place in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
Both of Lee’s times were new meet records as was Hemmer’s in the 100 meter hurdles.
Anna Zwart in the javelin and Hailey Larson in the triple jump also scored top honors in their respective events in Chester.
The Hawks were to be Estelline Tuesday for the Pat Gilligan Alumni Invitational starting at noon.
