RENNER – Flandreau golfers, Madison Bushkofsky and Alfie Henderson, took both medallist honors at the Big East Conference Golf Meet while the Flier boys will have their name etched on the BEC championship plaque for the first time.
The meets were held Friday, May 3 at Northern Links Golf Course.
Alfie Henderson was the medallist for the Fliers shooting a 79. Kaden Burshiem fired an 83 for sixth and Jon Burshiem shot a 95 taking 19th place. Rounding out the team was Brant LeBrun placing 25th with a 102.
Even though the boys are in Class A, which holds their season in the fall, the team can participate in conference meets in the spring.
Flier sophomore Bushkofsky took the medallist honors firing an 82. Her teammate, Clara Kelm, came in 22nd by turning in her card of 119. The Flier girls don’t have enough to qualify for team scores.
