SIOUX FALLS – Colman-Egan girls placed in four relays – winning one – at the 99th running of the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.
Taking first in the quickest of all relays was the foursome of Elaina Rhode, Lanie Mousel, Crystal Silva-Dominguez and Daniela Lee with their time of 51.56 around the track. This time places them first in Class B times so far this year for this race.
Another relay team of Mousel, Brynlee Landis, Finley Luze, and Lee marked up a 1:48.71 to take second in the 4x200. This time places them second in Class B times for the 4x200 relay.
The 4x400 team of Presley Luze, Finley Luze, Silva-Dominguez and Landis are rated third in Class B with their time of 4:14.60 as they also placed third at HWDR.
The same group of girls place fifth in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:16.08. This time seeds them sixth in the state as the season begins to wind down.
For the boys team, a 41200 relay team of Jonny Keyes, Jase Mousle, Chris Lee and Jack Mousel ran to a second place finish with their time of 45.26. They are now third in Class B Boys for the 4x100.
CHESTER – Earlier in the week, the Hawks were in a five-team meet at Chester. Several first place finishes were earned. The top three place winners are listed below:
Boys
100 m dash: 3rd Jase Mousel 11.81
200 m dash: 3rd Jack Mousel 23.28; 6th Mikano Lee 24.75
400 m dash: 3rd Rhyder Behnke 59.25
Girls
100 m dash: 1st Daniela Lee 12.86; 3rd Crystal Silva-Dominguez 13.43
110 m hurdles: 2nd Elaina Rhode 18.11; 3rd Addison Geible 18.13
