Hawk Cross Country
DELL RAPIDS – In a windy and cooler than most recent events, the Colman-Egan’s cross country team shook off the poor elements and ran to a second place team finish, Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Rocky Run Golf Course.
This earns them a spot in the SD State Class B girls cross country division this Saturday at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.
Junior Reese Luze was the medalist with her winning time of 21:55.08 with her sister, Presley, a freshman, close behind with a time of 22:01.22 for second.
Anya Hemmer, a Colman-Egan seventh-grader, came in 21st with a time of 23:09.34 and freshman Elaina Rhode was 25th, 23:51.73. Abby Rhode came in 34th to finish out the team.
The top two teams from each region advance as well as the top 20 runners in the region.
Arlington won the team title with a socre of 15 and the Lady Hawks marked up 24 points. Centerville was third with 40
The Hawks do not have a boys’ team but Arlington that division.
Hawk Football
COLMAN– The 2021 Colman-Egan Hawks closed out the year with a loss to Elkton/Lake Benton last Friday, October 15 at Fritz Field.
Final score was 44-22.
The Hawk close out the season with a 2-7 record. They did not qulify for post season play.
Hawk Volleyball
COLMAN – Mackenzie Hemmer’s 13 kills led Colman-Egan to a four-set win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland, Monday, October 11.
Scores were 25-18, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-21.
