Fliers fall to SFC

SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Falls Christian topped Flandreau 45-6 in high school football action last Friday night at University of Sioux Falls Stadium.
Brayden Saylor scored the lone touchdown for the Fliers. He had two carries for 22 yards and a score.
SF Christian outgained Flandreau 293-170 in the win.
Tanner Christenson was 9 for 17 through the air for 111 yards and one interception. His top target was Nate Kneebone, who had 5 catches for 50 yards. Tayson Alberts added two catches for 23 yards, while Connor LeBrun and Toby Taylor had one catch apiece.
Matt Pauley was the top rusher for the Fliers, gaining 49 yards on 15 carries.
The defense led by Pauley, who had eight tackles. Kneebone and Tash Lunday added seven and six tackles, respectively.
“I’m proud of our guys effort against tough competition and we are going to continue to get better for the rest of this year and into next year,” said Flandreau head coach Derek Genzlinger. “We have a tough Beresford team at home on (Oct.) 5th and I hope to see everyone out supporting our kids.”
