Both of the Colman-Egan track and field teams took fifth place at the Estelline/Hendricks Sno Bird meet on Thursday, April 4. The girls score 80 points and the boys 64.5, just nudging out the host team by half a point.
Deuel won the girls division with 97 points and the boys division with 122.5 points.
The Hawks had two first place finishes for the boys with Jase Mousel winning the triple jump leaping 29’11.5” and Jack Mousel winning the high jump at 5’8”.
For the girls, Daniela Lee was a four time gold medal winner taking the 100 (12.92), 200, (28.15) and as part of two winning relay teams. She joined with Elaina Rhode, Micheon Williamson and Finley Luze to win the 4x100, 53.33 and with Presley Luze, Finley Luze and Brynlee Landis to take the 4x200 meter relay, 1:53.92.
The week prior, a few Hawks were at the Dakota Wesleyan Indoor meet. Top finisher was Jase Mousel in the triple jump going 40’9”. Top female finish came from Daniela Lee in the 60 meter dash with her time of 8.10.
