FLANDREAU – In a battle of Flandreau’s amateur baseball teams on Friday night the Cardinals outlasted the Blue Teal, winning 3-2.
The Flandreau Cardinals split a pair of games this week and are now 5-3 on the season. Flandreau lost to the Dell Rapids Mudcats 15-0 on Thursday and then beat Dell Rapids PBR 3-2 on Sunday. The Cardinals will host the Flandreau Blue Teal on Friday at 7 p.m.
The Flandreau Blue Teal lost both of their games, falling to the Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks 12-0 on Thursday and 1-0 to the highly rated Dell Rapids Mudcats on Sunday.

The Flier girls scored 29 points along with Canton for the tie. It’s the first time a Flier team has placed in the top eight since 2000.
