MENNO – Colman-Egan won seven events at the Menno Relays on Thursday.
Boys
Kade Groos won the 200-meter dash in 22.88 seconds and the 400 in 52.55, while Walker Olivier finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a 15.47 clocking and the 300 hurdles in 41.78.
Malik Poppenga was tops in the triple jump with a mark of 40 feet, 11 1/2 inches. He added a second-place showing in the long jump (19-4 3/4) and took third in the high jump (5-5).
Bodee Groos finished fourth in the 300 hurdles (45.9) and sixth in the 200 (24.22).
In the discus, Alex Landis (118-8) and Zach Anderson (108-11) placed fourth and sixth, respectively.
Chase Hemmer ended up seventh in the 800 (2:28.3).
The Hawks were second in both the 4x200 (1:37.54) and 4x400 (3:41.37) relays. They took eighth in the 4x100 (54.12), medley (4:26.06) and 4x800 (10:26.43).
Girls
Haleigh Nicol’s mark of 32-1 1/4 was good for a first-place finish in the triple jump, while Grace Anderson won the shot put with a heave of 30-6 1/4.
Olivia Baumberger finished third in the long jump at 15-7 ½ and Mackenzie Hemmer took fourth in the 100 with a 13.62 clocking.
Burgin Groos placed fourth in the discus (87-10) and fifth in the shot put (28-6).
Placing sixth for the Hawks were Madison Voelker in the 800 (2:56.28), Jordan Wittrock in the 1,600 (6:25.62), Raelynn Engelkes in the 100 hurdles (23.28) and Elizabeth Moore in the high jump (4-6).
Engelkes was also eighth in the high jump (4-6).
Colman-Egan finished fifth in the 4x100-meter relay in 59.03 seconds.
