FLANDREAU – Holding a five-run lead after six innings the Flandreau high school baseball team was in good shape needing to record just three outs to pick up a win on Sunday afternoon in Flandreau.
However, the visitors from Tri-Valley scored nine runs in the top of the seventh inning, aided by five Flandreau errors, to pick up a comeback 13-9 win.
Of the 13 runs scored by Tri-Valley only two were earned with the other 11 runs scoring as the result of inning-extending errors.
Kolby Peters drove in three runs and finished with two of Flandreau’s seven total hits. He also drew a pair of walks.
