Hawk runners improving as season progresses

DE SMET – The Colman-Egan girls totaled 39 team points to take fourth in the De Smet Cross Country Invitational on Thursday.
Reese Luze paced the Hawks with a fourth-place showing in 21 minutes, 11.94 seconds.

Abby Rhode (23:04.09) finished 19th and Hailey Larson (23:44.97) was 25th to round out the team score.
Also for Colman-Egan, Ava Mousel (24:39.74) took 35th and Jordan Wittrock (25:23.78) was 38th.
Webster Area and Kimball/White Lake both finished with 21 points to finish first and second, respectively. Howard (38 points) came in in third.
Chester Area’s Camerson Streff was medalist in the 5K with a time of 20:26.4.
