Hawk netters advance to SoDak 16

COLMAN – The Hawks qualified for the SoDak 16 after the sweep of the Elkton/Lake Benton Lady Elks in the Region 4B contest. Colman-Egan won the three sets 25-16, 25-20 and 25-21, respectively last Thursday.
Braiden Westley led the way for Colman-Egan with 22 assists and 12 digs. Olivia Baumberger had 12 kills and three blocks. Mackenzie Hemmer had eight kills, three blocks and two aces. Elizabeth Moore had 19 digs and Kennedy Landis had 13.

Before the Hawks took on Elkton/Lake Benton, they rolled to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-19 win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in the Region 4B quarterfinals Nov. 3.

Olivia Baumberger and Mackenzie Hemmer both recorded 12 kills and Hailey Larson chipped in with six.
Hemmer logged six blocks, Baumberger three and Larson two.
Braiden Westley (18) and Kennedi Landis (11) combined for 29 set assists.
Hemmer netted a pair of aces, while Larson and Baumberger tallied one apiece.
Hemmer, Baumberger and Wesley each came up with seven digs.
Teams are reseeded for the SoDak 16. The Hawks earned the number 4 seed and will host #13 Kadoka on Tuesday, November 10. The winner advances to the State B tournament in Huron, November 19-20.
