Girls
FLANDREAU – Hannah Parsley joined the 1,000-point club but De Smet pulled out a 49-45 Lake Central Conference win over the Fliers on Tuesday night.
Flandreau led 17-14 after a quarter. De Smet moved ahead 25-22 at halftime and was ahead 35-29 through three.
Autumn Wilkinson scored 21 points and Kennadi Buchholz added 12 as the Lady Bulldogs clinched at least a share of the LCC title.
Parsley finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and five steals.
“Hannah is the third Flandreau girls’ basketball player to score 1,000 career points,” said Head Coach Megan Severtson. (Charissa Sheppard, 1994-98  with 1246 and Amy LeBrun, 1999-2003 with 1089.)

Maria Parsley added six points, while Madie Hursey, Ashtyn Bertram and Marianna Pavlis each contributed five.
Maria Parsley grabbed six boards and Hursey dished out six assists.
Flandreau won the JV contest handily, 56-14. Cassidy Keith scored 16, Bella Pavlis 14 and Maria Parsley 13 points apiece.
Boys
FLANDREAU – De Smet topped the Fliers 67-55 in a Lake Central Conference boys’ basketball game Tuesday.
Kalen Garry poured in a game-high 27 points for the Bulldogs. Rett Osthus added 13 points, Ethan McCune 12 and Trevin Holland eight.
Flandreau’s Nate Kneebone just missed a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds.
“I was pleased with how we played offensively. We had a season high 18 assists to go with only 9 turnovers,” said Coach Brendan Sheppard.
“The difference in the game was the number of free throws we missed and struggling to finish a handful of layups. DeSmet is a talented team. To win against a team like that you can’t leave easy points out there.”
Tash Lunday had 15 points, six boards and three assists. Connor LeBrun added 13 points and four dimes.
