FLANDREAU—Class 11B No. 3 Mount Vernon/Plankinton remained undefeated after 339 yards of offense propelled it to a 54-7 win over Flandreau Friday night.
For MVP, Weston Tobin rushed for 98 yards on 11 carries, while Jesse Hastings rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries. Colton Tobin rushed for 85 yards on nine carries and also had five tackles. For Flandreau, Tanner Christenson threw for 71 yards on five completions.
Flandreau scored first on a 37-yard pass from Tanner Christenson to Connor LeBrun. That was all the offense the Fliers would muster on homecoming night.
The Titans (5-0) travel to Class 11B No. 5 Winner on Friday. The Fliers (0-4) face Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan (4-0) on Friday in Bridgewater.
