C-E volleyball falls to Elkton, sweeps Estelline

ELKTON – The Lady Elks dropped the Hawks 25-21, 25-16, 25-19 in a Dakota Valley Conference volleyball match Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Colman-Egan’s Braiden Westley had nine kills and five digs. Katie Hannasch recorded two blocks. Savannah Moore tallied 11 set assists. Shelby Hiller came up with nine digs and Rylee Walz added five.

Samantha Schindler totaled 10 kills, two aces and 10 digs.

Aubrey Wirth contributed nine kills and 2 1/2 blocks (two solo). Baylee Jandahl, Taylor Bales, Callie Otkin and Hannah Krog added five kills apiece.

Otkin guided the offense with 34 set assists. Abygail Landsman led the defense with 26 digs and Karlie Christensen had 23. 

COLMAN – The Hawks swept the Estelline by scores of 25-13, 25-7 and 25-11 in a Dakota Valley Conference volleyball match Thursday to push their record to 4-3 and 1-1.

Katie Hannasch led Colman-Egan at the net with eight kills, three solo blocks, a block assist and two aces as Shelby Hiller finished with four kills and six service aces.

Savannah Moore and Jordan Wittrock contributed eight and seven set assists, respectively, while Haleigh Nicol and Braiden Westley collected eight and seven digs, respectively.

Tasha Vohlken’s two kills and two service aces led Estelline, which droped to 0-5 and 0-1 in the DVC.
