Colman-Egan split a couple of non-conference games last week to close out the season with a 9-11 record. This week they were to play in Region 3B on Monday and Tuesday.

The Flandreau Fliers boys’ basketball team closed out the regular season on Monday, Feb. 19 with a 52-38 win on the Deubrook Area Dolphins’ court.

Flandreau’s six regionals wrestlers scored 66 teams points to place eighth in the South Dakota High School Activities Association’s Region 1A tournament and three of those wrestlers qualified for the State A Championships held last weekend.

The Colman-Egan Hawks advanced to the SoDak 16 with wins over Bridgewater-Emery and Howard last week. Colman-Egan is the number 12 seed and will face number 5 seed Wall on Thursday, February 29, at the Stanley County High School in Ft. Pierre. Game time is 5:30 p.m

The Flandreau Fliers advanced to the SoDak 16 for the sixth straight season after defeating Clark/Willow Lake and Sioux Valley last week. The wins helped the Fliers improve to 22-0 on the season and set up a date with Hill City on Thursday, Feb. 29 in Chamberlain with a trip to the Class A state tournament on the line.
