Patty Clark, 77, of Elkton passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Pipestone County Medical Center Hospice Home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau, SD. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
Patty was born August 21, 1946 in Flandreau, SD to Harold and Harriet (Hattie Billiam) Schramm. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1964.
She married Larry Barron and farmed northeast of Flandreau. To this union they had four favorite children.
On January 2, 2002, she married her best friend, Roy Clark. They spent their time farming north of Flandreau and polka dancing with the Larry Olsen Band (their favorite). After Roy’s untimely death in 2010, she spent her time polka dancing when she could, taking care of their acreage, with mowing being one of her favorite things to do. She was a member of the VFW for many years. Patty loved spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patty enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and making anything her grandchildren wanted. She enjoyed bringing food or baked goods for anyone that needed it. She was always right there in time of need. Special orders for her peanut brittle started coming in every holiday season.
Our Mom taught us to be as strong as she was, love like she did and had a heart of gold. Family always came first and foremost. She will forever be in our hearts and missed every single day. We love you so much, Mom!
Right now, our Mom would be telling us, “Get up, dust yourself off and get going!”
She was blessed with four children, David, Claudine, April, McClain; a favorite daughter-in-law, Melissa (McClain); a favorite son-in-law, Andy (April); eight grandchildren, Whitney, Shawn, Marissa, Elijah, Tala, Brycen, Mackenzie, Lain; and three great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Norah, Lincoln.
Patty is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Ruth) Schramm, DeVere (Debbie) Schramm; sister, Anita Coplan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clark; parents, Harold and Harriet; brother, David; Sisters, Sharon and Madonna; and special friend Jon Scofield.
