Lois D. Spiering, age 89, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born in Codington County, South Dakota, to the late Alfred and Mary Spring.
Over many years, Lois so enjoyed teaching children in Sunday school. She also was an avid reader and gardener – oh how she loved her hollyhocks! Later in life coloring brought her so much joy; and, she started painting beautiful paintings.
Lois is survived by her son, Wade Spiering (Tania) of South Carolina, and daughter, Annette Fraser (Paul) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer Spiering, Candace Dommer, Anton Nasledov, Jesse Fraser, and Daniel Fraser; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Spiering; and brothers, Harvey and Stanley Spring.
A private celebration of life will be held for the family.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude or Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice in memory of Lois.
