Don’t forget to get your scrap metal out for pick this weekend

The City of Flandreau and Det. 1 of the 1742nd Transportation Co. of the S.D. Army National Guard will be hauling
Appliances and Scrap Metal on Saturday, October 5 for all residents of the city.
Residents can start putting out appliances and scrap metal on street curbs on October 2, but must have whatever needs to be taken out by 6 a.m. on October 5. Crews will only drive through the city one time and the starting point has not been determined. They will not drive through the alleys so put out on the boulevard next to the curb.
Again, only appliances and scrap metal is all that will be picked up this year. All other household waste and trash, etc. should be put out weekly for regular garbage pickup and all yard waste, tree debris and limbs can be taken to the restricted landfill.
Contact the Flandreau City Office at 997-2492 with any questions.
