The Flandreau Cardinals split a pair of games this week and are now 5-3 on the season. Flandreau lost to the Dell Rapids Mudcats 15-0 on Thursday and then beat Dell Rapids PBR 3-2 on Sunday. The Cardinals will host the Flandreau Blue Teal on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Flandreau Blue Teal lost both of their games, falling to the Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks 12-0 on Thursday and 1-0 to the highly rated Dell Rapids Mudcats on Sunday.

VFW Post 3351 will be hosting its annual flag exchange on Flag Day, Friday June 14th from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at The Veterans’ Center. The public is encouraged to bring any flags that need to be retired and get a new one to fly proudly at their home or business.

America’s fallen heroes were honored across Moody County this past week during Memorial Day services that began shortly after the sun came up and commenced in community after community throughout the day.

Governor Kristi Noem announced that she will be hosting a Tribal Public Safety Crisis Summit in Pierre on Monday, June 24. Governor Noem is inviting both elected leaders and law enforcement officials at the federal, state, local, and tribal levels. She announced the Summit in a video.
