Kenneth C. Gulick died peacefully at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida on May 17th, 2022.
His wife of 54 years, Loretta Gulick, and their two children, Russell Gulick (Ashley) and Karen Brown (Peter) were with him in his final hours as were his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Madison, and Carver. Kenneth was born November 30, 1944 in Flandreau, South Dakota to Cecil and Lillian Gulick and was the youngest of 3 children. He is survived by his sister, Betty Smith, and predeceased by his brother Dwayne Gulick and parents.
Ken, as he was known by family and friends, grew up and attended school in Flandreau, graduating from Flandreau High School. After attending college in South Dakota, Ken relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he met Loretta while working for Shakespare Inc. Ken designed various types of fishing reels that are still on the market today.
Ken and Loretta were married on June 13th, 1968 and moved to Miami, Florida to start their new life.  After several work-related moves, they settled in Lexington, South Carolina where their two children were born. Together, Ken and Loretta built a loving and adventurous life while raising their children to be compassionate, strong and independant. After a few years there, the family moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where Ken enjoyed fishing, scouting, and a new career in the semi-conductor industry. In 1988, Ken and Loretta moved to Jupiter, Florida with their children after accepting a position of Design Engineer for Philips Electronics.
Upon retirement, Ken and Loretta settled in Melbourne, Florida where he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, raising various breeds of Orchids, watching UF Gator sports, and enjoying Florida when the weather was pleasant.  Ken remained a loving family man whose humor and laughter never diminished.  He was loved by everyone who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of strength and kindness.
