Girls win Chester Area Track & Field Meet

CHESTER - Colman-Egan’s girls team won the Chester track meet on Tuesday, April 9. The girls scored 126.5 to win and did so without a first place finish.
The boys team took third with 104.5 points behind Baltic’s first place 133 point.
First place finishes were awarded to Jesse Baumberger in the javelin with a heave of 126’6”. A couple relay teams also won their events. In the 4x100 relay, Jonny Keyes, Jack Mousel, Mikano Lee and Jase Mousel ran to winning time of 46.69 and the 4x200 team of Lee, Jackson Zwart, Jase Mousel and Chris Lee won with a time of 1:36.03.
The teams also participated in the Menno Invite, but results were not available.
The Flandreau Indian School also had some athletes in the event. Top finisher was Amos Rockman in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:17.27.
