The area has experienced several bouts with fog during the past week, resulting in nearly indescribable beauty at each sunrise. Frost that accumulated over night glistened in the sun and made everything look like the cover of a Christmas card. This photo shows a view of the Big Sioux River taken from the Hwy. 13 bridge looking west toward the dam in Flandreau and is evidence of the beauty. Warm air from the west of us blowing over the recent snowpack has been the right formula for heavy frost to form.
