Janice Waugh (Christensen), 68, of Pipestone, MN, died peacefully in her home on December 26, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Janice’s last wishes was to donate her body to University of Minnesota research and teaching hospital. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be arranged at a later date.
Janice Waugh (Christensen) was born February 14, 1955 to Norman and Elizabeth (Brewick) Christensen in Sioux Falls, SD. She attended public school in Flandreau up to the 11th grade and moved to Oklahoma to attend Job Corps. Upon completion of Job Corps, she moved back to Flandreau. In 1990 she began working at Bayliner/U.S. Marine, where she was employed until the closure of the Pipestone plant in 2009.
More than anything, Janice loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved the simple pleasures in life and always sought out the good, even in the darkest of situations. On September 27, 2004, she married Brady, the love of her life, and they have lived 20 beautiful years together.
She is survived by her husband, Brady; brother, Daryl (Kay) Christensen of Flandreau; daughters, Jennifer Underwood of Pipestone and Michelle Roberts of Swansboro, NC; nephews, Troy Christensen of Flandreau and Eric Christensen of Sioux Falls; niece Sara (Michael) Manker of Sioux Falls; and grandchildren Mia Holcomb, Jordan Holcomb of New Bern, NC, and Azzy Roberts of Chesapeake, VA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Elizabeth Christensen and one brother, Allen Christensen.
