James E. Dailey passed away peacefully in Jacksonville Beach Florida on March 1 after a long illness and finally, Covid 19.  “Jay” graduated from Flandreau High in 1965 and attended USD and UDLA in Mexico.  He retired from the Beacon School in Joplin Missouri after more than 20 years of teaching at risk and troubled kids.
 A lifelong Dodger fan and horse lover, he was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary and his brother P.T. Dailey.  He is survived by his son Jonathon (Frank) , grandson Apollo, step children Tammy and Eric Zachrison, and his siblings Dan, Lin, Laura, and MaryJo.
A memorial Washoo tournament will be held sometime in the future to celebrate his life
