Delores Mary Johnson, 95, of Flandreau, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Riverview Healthcare in Flandreau, SD. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, December 8, 2023 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Flandreau, SD.
 Delores was born on August 8, 1928, to Frank and Tessie (Ashauer) Bowen. She received her education at Belle Country School and then graduated from Egan High School in 1946. The following year, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Laurie Johnson. To this union, the couple was blessed with 7 children; Barbara, Dave, Vicki, Gayle, Joan, Kristen, and Troy.
 Delores was a very loving, kind, generous person who loved spending time with her family.  Some of her happiest moments were having a house full of family and children.  She was an avid gardener producing the most beautiful flowers and vegetables.  Her other hobbies included sewing, quilting, reading, and listening to music.  Delores and Laurie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and were members of the Flandreau snowmobiling club with many trips to the Black Hills.
 Delores was a lifetime member of the Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church and was actively involved with Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society.  She was employed by Moody County Extension office for over 25 years and received a Certificate of Recognition for her many years of service.
 Delores is survived by her children, Barbara Ullom, Plano, TX: Dave (Kris) Johnson, Flandreau, SD: Vicki (Jim) Hudecek, Sioux Falls, SD: Gayle (Kevin) Merritt, Fresno CA, Kristen (Brion) Paulson, Renner, SD; 6 grandchildren; Brett(Lori) Ullom, Rockwall, TX; Brian (Heidi) Johnson, Flandreau, SD; Tracy (Harry) White, Princeton, TX; Scott Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD; Jeremy Merritt, Buena Vista, CO; and Corey Merritt, Boynton Beach, FL; son-in-law, Jason Rovig, Phoenix, AZ; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
 Delores was preceded in death by her husband Laurie, daughter Joan Rovig and son Troy Johnson.
