Beverly Ann Illian, age 78 of LeSueur, Minnesota died January 2, 2024.
Beverly was born February 16, 1945 in Hendricks, Minnesota to Nels and Evelyn (Johnson) Petersen. She attended school in Flandreau. She married James Illian and with this marriage they had two children, Michelle and Theresa. While married to Jim, they lived mostly in Brookings and later moved to Minnesota. They later divorced. Beverly moved to LeSueur in 1992. She worked at A.D.C. there from 1984 to 2002. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening and watching the grandkids grow up. Elvis Presley was her to to music through the years. Beverly spent the last five years under the care of the wonderful staff at CURA Nursing Home in LeSueur. She really loved the caretakers that took care of her.
Survivors include her daughters: Michelle (Bob) Johnson and Theresa (Mark) Sullivan; her grandchildren: Brandon Johnson, Benjamin Sullivan and Zachary Sullivan; her sister: Alice (Charlie) Ryan; her brother: Edwin (Alona) Petersen and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gordon Peterson.
Her memorial service was held Saturday, January 20 at First Lutheran Church in LeSueur with burial to be later in Union Cemetery, Flandreau.
