Moody Post 3351 VFW Commander Bridget Flannery stopped by the Moody County Sheriff’s office to hand out gift certificates to local law enforcement officers in observance of Law Enforcement Memorial Day, which was Monday, May 15. Flannery told the heads of each local law enforcement department, (from left) Zach Weber of the Flandreau Police Dept., Robert Neuenfeldt of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Police and Troy Welman from the Moody County Sheriff’s Office the certificates were to be distrubuted to all of their officers in observance of the special day and to show support for the jobs they do in the community. Flannery said the VFW considers local law enforcement brothers and sisters in arms for protecting and defending the public. The certificates were from the Flandreau Bakery and could be redeemed there.
