“Peter and Wendy” to be performed Friday and Saturday at Crystal Theatre

The Missoula Children’s Theatre, in partnership with the Crystal Theatre in Flandreau, proudly present the children’s musical “Peter and Wendy” this Friday and Saturday July 28-29 at the Crystal Theatre.

Show times are 7 p.m. both nights and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Season tickets will apply for these performances.

Missoula has several teams that travel across the country conducting week-long theatre residency programs working with students.

The theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT tour actors/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week preparing the students for the final production.

Over 40 local students from grades 1 through 10 will be performing in this musical production.

When Captain Hook sends his right-hand man Smee on a quest to capture Peter Pan, it’s seemingly business as usual…at first.

Little does Hook realize what fantastic adventures await him and his pirate posse in their search for the elusive Peter Pan.

Among the roles to be cast are Peter, his Shadow, Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys, Wendy and her brothers John and Michael, their parents Mr. and Mrs. Darling with their faithful friends Nana and Liza, Captain Hook and his Pirate Crew along with the Crocodile, Tiger Lily, the band of Neverlanders and Neverland Creatures and, carrying them to Neverland, a group of stormy clouds.

Come to the Crystal either or both nights to see how hard young people in the community have worked this week.

Also on Saturday, the Crystal Theatre members and friends will be selling homemade pies beginning at 10 a.m and going until 2 p.m. or the pies run out.
