Colman-Egan, Flandreau School Districts gear up for graduation

Posted

This Saturday marks a significant milestone for both Flandreau and Colman-Egan School Districts as they celebrate their graduating seniors.
In Flandreau, 44 young adults will don a cap and gown, as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives. Their class motto, “Flandreau Builds Great Memories.” The class flower is the Snapdragon, and colors are white and gold.
Commencement speakers for Flandreau include class President Claire Sheppard, and Coach and PE teacher Josh Edlund.

In Colman, 25 graduates will bid farewell to their alma mater. Their class motto, “Chase our dreams but always know the road that will lead you home again,” will help to define the journey ahead. The yellow rose is their class flower and black and gold are again this year’s colors.
Delivering the keynote for the Hawks will be Superintendent Scott Hemmer, while Laine Mousel will welcome guests to the event.
Both ceremonies are scheduled for 2pm on Saturday.
Prior to graduation, Colman-Egan will hold its annual awards day, this Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the school gym. They will also hold the National Honor Program at 7 p.m. that night.
Photos of all seniors can be found on pages 8 and 9 of this week’s Moody County Enterprise.
