The contractor hired to repair the Zandt building in Flandreau’s downtown is making progress putting the collapsed wall back together.
“Things are really going well,” said Dave Obenauer, owner of High Rise of Sioux Falls. He and those working on the building with him are resetting stone blocks that have fallen or failed when the outer wall started collapsing in March. A second set of blocks fell July 4 before Obernauer was hired by building owner Jim Zandt to repair the property.
He gave city council members an update at the Aug. 6 meeting.
