The game of golf is one that can be learned at a young age and perfected as we grow into the later years in life. That is one thing that was shown last month at the Flandreau Golf Course with 2 holes in one recorded.
The first came on September 17, by 12-year-old Brody Johnson of Flandreau, shown above. Johnson, a Flandreau 7th grader, made the hole in one on Hole 5, a par 3, while using his pitching wedge. His friend Brayson Gould witnessed the perfected shot.
The next was by Don Hass, also of Flandreau, who has been golfing the course for over 60 years. Hass used a 6 iron on September 27 to ace the 8th hole. This is another par 3 on the course. His witnesses were John Shaeffer and Art Cartwright. This is Hass’ first hole in one.
With the weather getting colder, Johnson and Hass – along with others - only have a few more chances to work on their game.
