The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary sponsored its Third Sunday Breakfast for nonprofit organizations on Feb. 18.
This month’s organization was the Twenty4Seven VMC from Brookings. This organization is made up of veterans of all branches and service members from the police and fire departments.
The organization pledged their profits from the breakfast to the Ken Prorok family.
Prorok was tragically killed in the line of duty as a Moody County chief deputy sheriff. Members of the Twenty4Seven VMC had local and surrounding communities come together to contribute to the worthwhile project. Members of the organization helped serve the record-breaking number of breakfast-goers.
The organization received their check of $2,125 for their efforts.
