Flandreau’s city park has been closed due to high water, and no one, except residents living there, is to enter until further notice. The order was passed by the Flandreau City Council by ordinance making it a misdemeanor for anyone going around the barricade. It has not been determined how long the closure will be in effect but it will be for the foreseeable future. People ignoring the closure face penalties for entering the closed park, and police chief Zach Weber has said the park will be patrolled on a regular basis.
