Flandreau locker removed

Demolition of the Flandreau Meat Locker was started last Friday, two weeks after a fire destroyed the business owned by Tyler and Sarah Kills-A-Hundred.

Claflin Excavating worked Thursday, Friday and Monday removing the entire burned out structure.

A side dump and dump truck hauled out multiple loads of the debris for disposal.

The business consisted of three buildings, which over the years had been combined to house the Flandreau Meat Locker operation.

A new sight is visible now as the Moody County Veterans Center can be seen from the east when driving down Second Avenue.
