After seeing the county through some recent high profile, new and challenging situations, County Zoning Administrator Kendra Eng is leaving her current role for a position in the private sector.
Eng has worked for the county and its residents for seven years. She most recently was on the courtroom stand on behalf of the county in a high profile case regarding hazardous materials pipelines. Eng has also helped the county and countless residents and businesses navigate an increasing number of zoning matters as more people move back into the county and as families split up longtime farmland for new homes and as more businesses look to open in rural areas.
Friday, December 1, will be her last day in the office. She will then head to Carstensen Contracting, Inc in Dell Rapids where she will work as a project coordinator.
“Working for Moody County has been such a great experience and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity. I have grown so much during my time here and developed so many friendships and relationships both inside and outside of the County. Working with Moody County residents, the County Commission, and co-workers I will miss the most, as everyone has been so supportive and encouraging throughout the years.”
