About 65 people attended an event to raise awareness of domestic violence last week as part of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe domestic violence program. In addition to lunch cooked by tribal police officers, the group handed out mugs, pens and information on sexual assault. A dozen Flandreau Indian School students also helped hold signs for awareness.
