We would like to thank the Flandreau Post #70 of the American Legion for giving us the opportunity to represent our community at the 2024 South Dakota Boys State. The experiences we had will help us become civic leaders in our community as we get older. Both of us being active members in Moody County 4-H has allowed us to see first hand, the hardwork and dedication of local officials. Boys State allowed us to expand our knowledge further to not only local but state civic roles and responsibilities. Making the most of our time, we were both able to participate in the Boys State band, pass our BAR exams, as well as run for local, county, and state positions. We are honored to be a part of this historic tradition and represent the Flandreau community with the dignity and pride it deserves. We are thankful to have been given a once in a lifetime experience to learn about our government and to fuel our passion for the future
